How to win office as a Supervisor or Mayor in San Francisco

Formula for a conservative to be elected Supervisor or Mayor in San Francisco:

1) Get appointed to various commissions. Head an institution, work for a labor union and/or get elected to a lesser office.

2) Use your life ‘story” to prove you are more liberal than you actually are.

3) Get hundreds of thousands from real estate companies, etc.

4) Get support from establishment hacks such as Pelosi, Feinstein, Chiu, Harris, etc.

5) Maximise appearances on bus shelters (illegally, in this case), billboards, flyers in mailboxes.

6) Always speak in generalities. Never mention the regressive aspects of your record. Subtly style your opponent as an elitist. Stifle any consideration of your voting record.

7) Use PACs you claim you do not control to smear your opponents.

8) Maximize support from almost-nonexistent “Democratic” clubs, local neighborhood orgs (whom you have bribed by using “discretionary funding”) to partially finance and will send out illicit email “blasts” in support of your candidacy.

9) Do the hard work of knocking on doors and attending events. But conveniently absent yourself from debates or forums where you might be asked hard questions.

10) Make sure the corporate media (e.g. Hearst) gets behind you and spears your opponents.

11) Make phony speeches after election in which you preach “unity” and “inclusion” as a precursor to steamrolling your agenda through.
